I was not a natural born leader. In fact, my nature used to be shy & quiet. Then of course, this business found me! And, thru my business experiences, working with people, and “failing forward,” this quiet, shy-natured girl began to change.
But, catch this… Only because I was open to it! I began to speak up, share my thoughts, be assertive, and be a leader. I gained respect from the ones I looked up to. That was an honor.
I got outside my comfort zone and there were rewards! By developing myself and others into leaders, my confidence grew. I prefer a quiet, inner confidence to blatant, outward confidence; But, that’s just my style. Either one works!
So, the business and other external happenings caused a release of this strength! I really didn’t even know how strong I could be until I had to be. And, I guess you could say…
This business has developed me!
Check out this post that a business partner of mine wrote on challenging yourself to get outside your Comfort Zone.

Amber — This is such an inspiration to those who may feel like they don’t have what it takes to be a leader. They just need to keep “failing forward,” being open, and allowing the business to develop them. Thank you so much for sharing! Christine
